Elizabeth Torres lives in Cambridge, UK, with her husband and two children. She can often be found wandering the cobbled streets of historic towns in search of inspiration – and stopping to sample the cake in each quaint little tea room along the way.

A lover of gothic and supernatural fiction since childhood, she enjoys writing stories that linger in the shadows, blurring the boundary between the ordinary and the uncanny. A runner-up in the 2024 New York City Midnight Flash Fiction Contest, Not As it Seems marks her first appearance in print.
