NEPA's Day Downtown
Come one, come all! NEPA’s Summer in the City is proud to announce the return of our biggest annual event: NEPA’s Day Downtown 2026 on Public Square, Saturday, August 1st.
For our FIFTH year, we’re partnering with Food Dignity, Hillside Farms, The Cancer Wellness Center of NEPA, Janet Weis Childrens' Hospital, Gifts for Teens to FUNdraise for local cuases!
Together, we'll be transforming Downtown Wilkes-Barre into a full-day festival fiesta packed with something for everyone! This year’s event will feature:
Run the River 5K & Walk in Kirby Park
60+ Food, Craft, and Resource Vendors
8+ Hours of Live Entertainment
Kids Carnival Area and Games
Games of Chance & 40+ Basket Raffles
Hillside's Traveling Farm Animals

Summer Craft Show (with Special Guests!)
Join us at Wyoming Valley Mall for a Father’s Day & Summer-themed Craft Show! About 100 vendors will be set up indoors throughout the mall common areas.
At the NFB table, in addition to our books and bookish accessories, you’ll find local author Jenn Johnson-Hamer and illustrator Kay C. Marie with their newest picture book Lulah Bee. Multiple story times will occur throughout the day, and face-painting will be offered!

Lackawanna County Heritage Fair
Get ready to kick off the summer with 4 days of fun, food, amusement park rides, full waterpark access, live music, games, and much more! Montage Mountain is excited to be hosting the 2026 Lackawanna County Heritage Fair from June 4th – 7th! The fair celebrates the history and cultures that make up our collective community. Come learn about our history and heritage while enjoying live entertainment, waterpark fun, unique cuisines, interactive displays, local artisans, vendors, and educational demonstrations!
Nicole Frail Books will be set up inside the LODGE.

Come hungry and ready to shop — and don’t forget to vote for your favorite truck!
The Creatively Lancaster Makers Market will take place on Saturday, May 30 ONLY (with a rain date of Sunday, May 31). Come shop handmade vendors while enjoying some of the best food trucks around!***

Celebrate Indie Bookstore Day with The Gilded Prose, popup romance bookstore at a nostalgic Book Fair event. Shop books, meet authors, grab food & a drink, and participate in fun activities, all while hanging with your book besties!
NFB will have a table at this event and so will NFB author Alyssa Feliciano. She will be selling and signing copies of her book The Hike to Higher Ground.
