Cheryl Boughton is a lifelong reader turned writer who loves exploring the quiet corners of family life — the moments where love, doubt, and humour meet. She lives in Kitchener, Ontario, with her husband, David, and their two British Blue cats, Oliver and Poppy. After a long career in education, she’s now happily writing stories and essays about belonging and second chances.

Boughton writes The Novel Note on Substack and runs Novel Escapes, a venture creating book-inspired retreats for women.
